The new oneworld Business Lounge in Los Angeles was inaugurated this week by Qantas, British Airways and Cathay Pacific, within the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Its initial capacity of 400 seats will soon be doubled, thanks to the 200 new seats that will be added to the lounge next year, and the 200 additional seats that will soon be added to the First Class lounge. The new California lounge is accessible to onewolrd Business and First passengers departing from LAX, as well as frequent flyers with Emerald or Sapphire status on one of the alliance's frequent flyer programmes. In addition to high-speed Wi-Fi and a range of hot and cold meals, the Business Lounge features workstations and nine shower cabins. Seven other cabins will soon be added, as well as a Family Zone. "This new Los Angeles Business Lounge is proof of our continued investment in our products to ensure that we deliver the best travel experience for our passengers, both on board and on the ground," says Qantas International CEO Simon Hickey, adding: "The lounge is designed to reflect Californian culture but also to offer a place to relax, socialise and work before a flight.
