28,000 m2 of office space will soon be added to the Part-Dieu district. And not just any offices, as they will be spread over the 28 floors of the future Oxygène tower, designed by Arte Charpentier and due to open in 2009.
At 115 metres, the Oxygène tower will become Lyon's second 'mini skyscraper', alongside the Crédit Lyonnais tower. As a bonus, it will be awarded the High Environmental Quality label and will have a very attractive appearance, with plenty of natural light to delight its occupants.
The SNCF will be the main tenant of these new spaces, as the railway company plans to occupy the first 17 floors, representing 16,000 m2 of office space. The works will also give rise to a new shopping centre on the Cours Oxygène, focusing mainly on home furnishings.
