Toulouse airport sees 2012 as a rosy year

Toulouse airport this week published a flattering report for 2011, marked by record passenger numbers, which should pave the way for an ambitious 2012 thanks to the new Air France and EasyJet bases.

2011 was a record-breaking year for air travel in France: Toulouse, like ParisLyon and Nice, recorded unprecedented performances, with 7 million passengers, a significant increase (+9.1%) on 2010. The arrival of the Vueling base at the Toulouse hub has contributed to this strong growth, which could well continue in 2012 with the establishment of EasyJet and above all Air France bases in April: "two establishments which will considerably modify the organisation of the airport and increase the range of destinations for travellers", according to forecasts communicated on Thursday by the hub's management.
