Second carrier on theToulouse airport in market share, easyJet y continues to grow. The announcement on 20 December from three new routes operated in exclusive by the company from the Blagnac. Alongside the inauguration of a flight to Zadar in Croatia, easyJet is targeting two leading business hubs in Europe. Starting on 31 March, Toulouse will be connected to Berlin twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday. The very next day, easyJet will inaugurate the flight Toulouse-Milan. Malpensa airport will also benefit from two weekly services, on Mondays and Fridays. In both cases, these will be seasonal flights, which are due to cease at the end of December.October.
Two million passengers a year
Eleven years after opening its Toulouse base, the arrival of these three new flights brings to 21 the number of destinations served by the orange airline from the pink city. Reginald Otten, easyJet's Deputy Managing Director for France, said: " easyJet carries almost 2 million passengers to Toulouse every year, strengthening the long-standing relationship with the people of Toulouse. We are delighted to offer them these three attractive new destinations, Berlin, Milan and Zadar, which bring to 21 the number of destinations we serve from Toulouse. ".
Philippe Crébassa, Chairman of the Toulouse-Blagnac Airport Management Board, is delighted with these new options, which are aimed in particular at business travellers : " Berlin and Milan are two destinations that our customers are eagerly awaiting for their tourist and economic attractions. It will once again be possible to go there for long weekends from spring onwards, as well as to meet business travel requirements. (...) With the opening of these three new routes, easyJet is confirming its dynamism in Toulouse and its position as the second airline at our hub. Toulouse-Blagnac airport is confirming its desire to develop routes in Europe to offer direct journeys that are both fast and affordable for everyone. ".
