
Since 16 July, members of the Flying Blue loyalty programme have been able to earn Miles when travelling by VTC. in France and the Netherlands. The Air France-KLM group has signed a strategic agreement with Uber, making the world's largest ride-hailing platform its exclusive VTC partner. This partnership will enable loyal travellers to earn miles not only for journeys to airports, but also on a day-to-day basis.

" Whether you're a French or Dutch person on your way to work or a tourist passing through, every journey you make with Uber can help you leave for a slightly more exotic destination with Air France and KLM".said Anabel Diaz, Vice President of Uber Mobility, EMEA. By connecting their account to the Uber application, Flying Blue members will earn 1 Mile for every euro spent and 2 Miles per euro spent if they make at least four journeys a month with Uber.
Uber is a partner of payment providers such as American Express and Chase, but its involvement in travel loyalty programmes has so far been relatively limited, with the VTC platform partnering Marriott Bonvoy and Air Canada and Qantas in the airline sector. Since 2021, Uber had also been a partner of Lufthansa Group's Miles & More programme, for journeys in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This partnership came to an end last April.
