It's a modest comeback, but a comeback nonetheless. Since 20 August, Canadian carrier Westjet offers a weekly flight between Calgary, the capital of the province of Alberta, and Paris CDG.. Every Sunday until the end of October, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner will fly between the two cities.
Le Dreamliner Westjet offers a three-class cabin serviceincluding Business, Premium Economy and classic Economy.
"We are delighted resume this historic route between Calgary and Parisreconnecting these two cities and offering easier travel opportunities in Europe for Western Canadians", said John Weatherill, Chief Commercial Officer, WestJet.
"The The Calgary-Paris route is a key market for tourism in Western Canada. We are therefore proud to see the return of this line and we will continue to invest in the economic recovery and growth of Calgary and Alberta, following the Covid-19″ pandemic, he added.
Paris is the third city in Europe to be served again by Westjet. At CDG, passengers benefit from a code-share to 16 European cities by Air France.
At the beginning of August, Westjet resumed services to London and Amsterdam with two flights a week each. From 10 September, a third flight will complete the offer to Amsterdam. Westjet is also codeshare with KLM to 18 European cities including France's regional capitals.
