Wizz Air continues to play the seductive card for premium passengers. The airline has just unveiled WIZZ Link, an innovative platform developed with Dohop, a company offering technological solutions for travel.
Dohop's RetailConnect technology enables passengers to book multi-stop journeys in a single transaction. With almost 8,000 new origin-destination combinations, passengers can now control their connections on the Wizz Air network, bypassing the airline's point-to-point model by including key hubs such as London, Budapest, Rome, Warsaw and Tirana.
The platform simplifies journey planning: seat reservations, baggage, priority services and on-board options are now centralised. WIZZ Link offers flexible interline connectivity, without the complexities of traditional systems.
Above all, the application makes it possible to keep direct bookings on its own website. Because, like its other low-cost counterparts, Wizz Air is seeing an ever-increasing need for connecting flights for its passengers between official point-to-point routes. And which are offered by online booking systems such as Expedia, Mytrip or Opodo.
It is also a way for Wizz Air to improve the customer experience and target business passengers. At the beginning of February, the carrier extended its Wizz Class product, following a trial lasting several months on six routes in its network. By taking out a Wizz Class option, passengers can leave the middle seat in the first row of the aircraft free and benefit from a free drink and snack service. This product is in addition to Smart or Plus Class, which includes priority access and ten kilos of cabin baggage.
