The trend, for example, explored by the Ascott group through its Lyf or other long-stay players such as Zoku and Adagiois also taking shape in Deauville, with the opening of the first You Urban Hospitality hotel on 16 October. A product of the metamorphosis of a historic establishment - the Hôtel de l'Europe, frequented in its day by Apollinaire - the establishment plays on a very contemporary mix of genres.
Close to the train station and a ten-minute walk from the beach, You are Deauville boasts 57 rooms for 207 beds, divided into rooms for one or two people, more family rooms for up to four residents, some of which are suites or have terraces; and finally, in a youth hostel style, Together rooms for 8 to 12 people. What all the accommodation has in common: king-size beds, a 65" screen, ultra-fast WiFi and a Bluetooth sound system.
With its lively bar, shared kitchen, Fit-You by Technogym gym and La Plage communal area serving as an open space in which to relax or work, the You is a lively, stylish place to live, but is also designed for business travellers on a short or long stay, as well as teams involved in seminars and team building. Facilities for meetings and coworking include creativity bubbles and touch-screen rooms for two to four people, phone boxes for discreet conversations, not to mention the possibility of turning a Together room into a workplace for entire teams.
" YOU lets you share your accommodation and workspace with your colleagues outside the company, so you can concentrate on your project at 200%." says the hotel. For presentations, the hotel also offers a cinema with 19 seats and integrated worktables, and the option of using the La Plage area for private functions.
Amiens, Annecy, Annemasse as well as Bordeaux, Lyon and Toulouse: while it's not the right time for major developments, this new brand has a lot to offer. "the ambition to expand in medium-sized towns and cities" according to its founder Pierre Esnée.
