IHG: a second voco hotel in France, in Strasbourg

The contemporary voco brand, part of the IHG group, has just opened a 120-room garden-themed hotel in Strasbourg.

After Paris and the area around Gare Montparnasse last Septembervoco, the IHG group's new upscale and contemporary brand, is continuing its expansion in France with the opening of a second hotel in the city. Strasbourg.

Close to the cathedral and Petite France, the hotel is also close to the main places frequented by business travellers, being less than ten minutes' walk from the station and within easy reach of the new Archipel-Wacken business district, the Palais des Congrès and the European Parliament.

In terms of design, the establishment combines reminiscences of the industrial era in its exteriors, with its nineteenth-century façade enhanced by wrought iron, and a green spirit in its interiors. Garden-themed hotelThe hotel is designed to be an oasis of calm and tranquillity, with public spaces decorated with tropical plants and living walls, botanically inspired rooms and natural furnishings.

Against the backdrop of a large outdoor terrace and a lawn, the hotel's restaurant 'The Garden' also plays on and offers all-day menus combining international and Alsatian specialities created using local ingredients. A gym, indoor swimming pool and spa complete the relaxing offer.

New voco hotels are expected in France, notably in Reims later this year and in Beaune in 2022. " The brand has experienced extraordinary growth since its launch only two and a half years ago.
