More intercontinental routes for Air France-KLM

The Air France-KLM group is expanding its intercontinental routes over the coming months. However, these routes are mainly intended for leisure travellers rather than business travellers. There are, however, opportunities for business tourism.

Vaccination and decontamination have a positive effect on travel demand and Air France-KLM group is drawing the consequences. The long-haul network of the two carriers is back in action. Air France has just announced the densification of its routes to the French overseas departments and territories and the Caribbean islands.

The Caribbean in the spotlight on Air France

Air France plans to operate up to 98 flights a week this summer to the French West Indies, Réunion, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Saint-Martin, the Dominican Republic and the Riviera Maya in Mexico.. This summer, Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana and Réunion will be linked to both Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly.

Departing from Paris-Orly, 14 weekly flights to Fort-de-France, Pointe-à-Pitre and Saint-Denis de La Réunion. Cayenne will benefit from a daily flight.

Departing from CDGAir France will operate a daily flight to Fort-de-France, Pointe-à-Pitre, Saint-Denis de La Réunion and Saint Martin. The airline also offers three weekly flights to French Guiana.

Still in the Caribbean, the airline offers ten flights a week to the Dominican Republic, with three weekly flights to Santo Domingo and seven frequencies to Punta Cana. It also operates five flights a week to Cancun in the Mexican Caribbean.

Always about America, Air France launches new route to Denver. Three weekly flights will be operated from 2 July.

Finally, Air France offers up to three flights a week to Papeete in French Polynesia. All flights are operated by Boeing 777s and Airbus A330s equipped with Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.

Six new destinations for KLM this winter

From his side, KLM has already announced its winter schedule for 2021/2022. The catalogue of new destinations covers almost every continent. Visit Africathe company will operate twice-weekly services Mombasa in Kenya.

In the Americas, the airline will offer flights to Cancun (three times a week by B787), Bridgetown (Barbados - three flights a week), Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago-three flights a week) and Orlando (The Amsterdam-Port of Spain route includes a stopover in Bridgetown.

Finally, in Asia, KLM will operate four flights a week to Phuket in Thailand via Kuala Lumpur. All flights will be operated by Boeing 77-300, Boeing 787-9 or Airbus A330 aircraft equipped with three classes of service.

Europe also on the agenda for Air France-KLM

Note that on theEurope, Air France arrives in Helsinki from 6 July after an absence of 20 years. The airline will be offering four flights a week, then increasing to daily frequency from 19 July.

KLM has been connecting Belgrade since 13 May with a daily flight from Amsterdam. From 26 June, the airline will be landing at Dubrovnik, Palma de Mallorca and Verona. These three cities will benefit from a daily frequency.
