More than ever the leader in the hotel sector in Scandinavia With more than 280 hotels, the Scandic group is reaffirming its pre-eminent position in the region with the opening in Copenhagen of its largest hotel to date, the Scandic Spectrum. Located in the centre of the Danish capital, on the seafront, the hotel offers a total of 632 rooms, in addition to a vast MICE area. Comprising four event venues that can accommodate more than 300 people, it is complemented by nine meeting rooms on the top floor, including several with access to the roof terrace.

The menu is inspired by organic and local plants and ingredients, with vegetables and herbs from the restaurant's own urban garden.
Sustainability is naturally a key priority, as it always is with the Scandinavian group, as the hotel is Nordic Swan certified. This Nordic spirit is also reflected in the hotel's design. Designed by Dissing + Weitling, it refers as much to Copenhagen's historic industrial port as to the local natural environment, using materials such as glass and steel, concrete, stone and wood.
The atmosphere of the wellness area is inspired by the Nordic forests and fjords, offering hotel guests a 25-metre swimming pool, a hammam and a Rasul thermal mud experience. Another, less gastronomic and more informal restaurant, Nordbo, features seafood, pizzas and pastas. "The hotel offers a wide range of experiences, whether you are on a weekend break in Copenhagen, looking for a unique conference venue or simply want to enjoy its spa facilities or a social event," explained Soren Faerber, Scandic's Director Denmark.

Opened at the beginning of June, the Scandic Norreport has just 100 rooms for a boutique address located in the heart of the city, next to Norreport station and Kongens Have public garden. The approach of summer proved to be a prolific one for the Scandinavian group, since in mid-June the hotelier also celebrated the opening of another MICE flagship in Sweden's second city, the Scandic Göteborg Central.
Ideally located for business travellers, just a few hundred metres from Central Station and right next to the new Hisingsbron Bridge, the hotel almost rivals Copenhagen's Scandic Spectrum in terms of capacity - one of the largest in the Swedish metropolis. While the hotel has 451 rooms, its largest meeting room, The Grand Container, can accommodate, for example events and conferences for up to 1,000 people. The hotel also boasts 19 meeting rooms and a coworking space with around 100 workstations.
Alongside this strong business dimension, Scandic Göteborg Central offers great opportunities to relax with a view of the city. Close to 500 people can meet on the roof terrace of the hotel, one of the largest in the city and partly protected from the elements, like its Above restaurant, so you can enjoy it all year round.
