Africa: eight Accor hotels certified Safehotels

Owned by investor Kasada, eight Accor hotels in Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal have just been awarded Safehotels certification, one of the benchmarks for safety and security.

Security is undoubtedly one of the main criteria of choice for business travellers to Africa. With this in mind, eight Accor Group establishments, all owned by the investment fund Kasadahave just announced Safehotels certificationone of the world leaders in hotel safety and security. " Safehotels' independent certification service, in addition to our ALLSAFE certification, gives our customers additional assurance that their safety and security are being taken into account." said Daniel Karbownik, Accor's Regional Director for West and Central Africa.

Based on the Global Hotel Security Standard, the Safehotels standard is founded on the following principles on-site audits from experts in the region and based on more than 230 criteriaThese hotels have been certified by the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry, in terms of fire safety measures, crisis management capacity, first aid and staff training. These certified hotels are located in Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal with the Pullman Abidjan and Dakar Teranga, the Novotel hotels in Abidjan and Dakar, and the Ibis DoualaAbidjan Plateau, Abidjan Marcory and Ibis Dakar.

These eight certified hotels are a first step towards general labelling of the Kasada portfolioThe investor currently owns around twenty of them on the continent, and no doubt more in the future.
