Le Caribbean Regional Network is set to change. The airline announced this on Monday, making official a new route between Cayenne and Belém. This will be part of a four-stage itinerary covering Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France, Cayenne and therefore Belém. Air France stresses that this will enable travellers from Guadeloupe and Martinique to reach the Brazil without having to change equipment. In this case a Airbus A320 with 168 seats, including 12 in Business and 156 in Economy. The aircraft will be equipped with a wifi connection, a popular feature with business travellers. According to Air France, the Cayenne-Belém flight will start on 5 May next Friday. Departure from Cayenne is at 3.40pm, arriving in Belém at 5.15pm each Friday. From Belém, the Air France A320 will take off at 9.35am. It will arrive in Cayenne at 11.10am every Saturday.
Improved connections to Miami
Another new feature: Air France is revising the flight times Pointe-à-Pitre - Miami. The aim is to make it easier for passengers arriving from Fort-de-France and Cayenne to connect to Florida. The timetable adjustment will start on 30th March next week. Flight AF616 will then leave Pointe-à-Pitre on Thursdays and Saturdays at 4.30pm and land in Miami at 7.55pm. On the return leg, the A320 will take off from Miami at 9.55am. It arrives in Pointe-à-Pitre at 1.10pm on Fridays and Sundays. Air France would nevertheless like to point out that this flight schedule is subject to change and to obtaining the necessary government authorisations.
