
They've definitely become a must-have in the world of business travel. Already widely used on the ground by business travellers, digital tablets have been proliferating on board aircraft in recent months. After EasyJet, which recently announced the launch of a rental service giving access to multimedia content, it is now Qantas' turn to go digital. In a press release published on 15 September, the Australian airline claimed to be the first carrier in the world to offer its passengers streaming multimedia content. A six-week test phase is scheduled to start at the end of October, with iPad2 tablets equipped with the Q Streaming application being taken on board a Boeing 767-300, before the offer is rolled out more widely.
