Business travellers may have thought - for a brief moment - that they could now check their GMail messages via a dedicated application on the Apple range: iPhone or iPad. Not so: the launch of the service on the App Store was cut short by a technical problem. "The iOS app we launched today contained a bug affecting notifications", commented Google, which hopes to fix the problem without setting a deadline. It was a very short-lived launch for the app - just a few hours - which nevertheless seemed to offer some serious arguments, particularly with push notifications and the ability to read emails in conversation mode.
