The business traveller is definitely not a professional like the others. The BCD Travel study, which has an eloquent title - "Business travellers are working harder" - shows that 33 % of European travellers work during their free time when travelling. As a logical consequence of this phenomenon, one in three workers is said to be under greater professional pressure on business trips than at the office, and 15 % of those questioned had handed in a sick note at least once on returning from a business trip, due to fatigue.
