The TextGrabber + Translator tool launched by ABBYY for iPhone now lets you use your smartphone as an OCR - a character recognition tool - after simply taking a photo of the document you want. The publisher has added a practical extra: instant translation, based on Google Translate. The other new feature offered by ABBYY is the management of business contacts: CardHolder is able, after photographing a business card, to extract its various elements for later reuse. Two practical applications, already available from the App store at €2.39.
