Perk relies on AI to automate MICE management

Perk is tackling corporate event management with a brand new module. Boosted by AI, Perk Events should enable automated management of MICE.

At the end of 2025, TravelPerk unveiled its new identity: Perk. In addition to this makeover, its managers envisaged a "broader mission", in which MICE would play a more prominent role. This ambition is now taking shape with the arrival of a new module dedicated to event management. After all, the "shadow work" that Perk intends to tackle does not spare MICE management: one employee in two (50 %) who organises team events does so outside his or her main duties, according to the platform's managers.

Jean-Christophe Taunay-Bucalo, Chairman and COO of Perk, agrees: "Events are a major source of behind-the-scenes work. They steal hours that teams should be spending on being there, not organising their attendance. It quickly became apparent that if we wanted to solve the problem, we needed to remove the invisible tasks and complexity that lurk behind every team event. Perk Events does exactly that. By taking the work out of face-to-face moments, we give teams back the space they need to focus on what's important: building relationships, strengthening collaboration and getting real work done.

The new Perk Events module is the first innovation in the in-house incubator that Perk will be setting up in 2024: the Real Work Incubator. And to no one's surprise, it will be using artificial intelligence to assist it in its - vast - mission. Perk Events aims to cover events for 9 to 5,000 people automatically. It offers centralised management of events and bookings, and facilitates the sourcing of MICE venues with intelligent matching and transparent pricing. In terms of transport, Perk Events should enable automated coordination of group travel. In terms of interaction with participants, the module offers dedicated event pages with customisable administrative controls. This enables the organiser to share key information about the event, manage registrations and deal with specific constraints such as dietary restrictions. Perk Events also incorporates reporting tools. While Perk's managers are naturally highlighting the capabilities offered by AI, they are not forgetting the expertise of the teams who have to support the most complex requests.

We've taken one of the most fragmented workflows in the office (venue search, group travel, attendance confirmations, budgets) and designed it as a connected, automated workflow. "says Perk founder Avi Meir. " AI takes care of the repetitive tasks, and our teams of experts step in when needed. People don't want more tools. They want less unnecessary work. That's what a product should do ".

With Perk Events, the former TravelPerk is taking a strategic step forward. By connecting business travel, expense management and event organisation, the platform aims to become a one-stop shop for travel and event management. This positioning responds to a strong demand: 57 % of companies today complain that their event management processes are little or not at all automated.
