Star Alliance: a new lounge for business travellers in China

Star Alliance has opened the doors to its new lounge, located in Terminal 3 of Guangzhou Airport, China.

Star Alliance is sending a message to the Chinese market, and particularly to business travellers. The alliance launched its new centre a few days ago at Guangzhou Baiyun exhibition Business. Located in Terminal 3, it confirms Guangzhou's special status in Star Alliance's strategy in Asia: it was here (in Terminal 1) that the alliance's first lounge in Asia was inaugurated two years ago.

The Star Alliance lounge covers an area of 1,400 m² – plus a 700 m² outdoor garden – allowing it to accommodate 245 travellers: First Class and Business Class passengers, or Star Alliance Gold status holders travelling on flights operated by member airlines departing from Terminal 3 of Guangzhou Baiyun, regardless of their travel class. Ten airlines operate from Guangzhou: Air China, ANA, Asiana Airlines, EGYPTAIR, Ethiopian AirlinesEVA Air, Shenzhen Airlines, Singapore Airlines, THAI and Turkish AirlinesAll for a total of 1,500 weekly departures to 52 destinations in 10 countries.
