Skype on its way to Windows Phone

The Skype application should "soon" be available to business travellers equipped with Windows Phone, according to recent reports, which predict an arrival in the first half of the year.

The Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas provided an opportunity to find out a little more about Microsoft's strategy for mobile applications. Rick Osterloh, Skype's vice-president of product, indicated that the software would "soon" be appearing on Windows Phone mobile terminals. The media specialising in new technologies add that blogger Paul Thurrott predicts the launch of the "top 25" applications available on the Android and iOS platforms over the next six months.
