Iberia extends its network... by bus

Iberia is to launch a new combined air and bus service to serve more destinations. The airline has signed an agreement with a Spanish bus company to offer an intermodal service that is unprecedented in Europe.

Iberia has just announced a new partnership and a new "Bus and Fly" service at the Fitur tourism trade fair. Iberia is joining forces with ALSA, a passenger transport specialist, to link Burgos, Soria, Valladolid and Lorca from terminal 4 at Madrid airport. The two companies plan to coordinate their timetables and offer grouped tickets (plane + bus) to facilitate travel to cities not served by the Spanish airline.
