As agreements aiming to bridge the gap between the business travel ecosystem and AI agents through the MCP protocol multiply, BCD Travel is opting for an investment and partnership strategy. The TMC had already joined forces with SkyLink to recruit an AI-based travel assistant, and with Oversee to automate the processing of business travellers' requests. On July 30, it was Amgine who finalised an acquisition of the business travel agency, with which the AI-specialised platform already worked.

" This investment validates both the technology we've developed and the strength of our partnership with BCD ”, assures Greg Apple. The CEO of Amgine continues: “ We had already secured the necessary capital for our next growth phase. BCD's investment allows us to move faster, compressing development and deployment times, as we roll out a new operating model for travel management globally. ".

Stephan Baars, Managing Director of BCD Travel, for his part, notes: " Amgine has demonstrated that agentic AI can generate tangible operational value, which in turn translates to improved service quality and an enhanced traveller experience. Our investment reflects our confidence in Amgine's technology and leadership, as well as the opportunity to build upon the results already achieved together. By expanding our partnership, we can accelerate AI innovation and create further value for business travel programmes. ".
