French companies are far from being the most optimistic about the short-term economic outlook. The latest Confidence Index published recently by flexible workspace provider Regus relegates France to the bottom of the league table. Its index of 95 places France at the bottom of the list of the world's leading economies, well behind Germany, India and Brazil, and below the global average of 113 points. The business travel sector is likely to suffer as a result of this negative trend: Regus predicts that the reduction in the number of business trips will mobilise the efforts of 35% of French companies.
