The new Chromebox for Meetings solution, launched in the US in February, consists of a webcam, omnidirectional microphone, remote control and Chromebox, and is based on the Hangouts instant messaging platform. Integration with Google Apps makes it easy to invite other participants, who can join the video conference even from their smartphones or tablets, and without necessarily having the Chromebox: a simple Gmail account is required. The Chromebox for Meetings solution can connect up to fifteen participants, provided you pay for the box ($999) and an annual subscription.
