CWT and KDS join forces for door-to-door solutions

The joint investments made by Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) and KDS as part of their door-to-door strategy will soon be rewarded by the integration of new functionalities, which should help to improve the CWT Online, powered by KDS door-to-door solution.

CWT and KDS are joining forces in the door-to-door sector, and reaping the rewards of their joint investments. "The relationship between CWT and KDS is much more than just a distribution partnership," says Dean Forbes, CEO of KDS. "KDS NEO has already been a game-changer in the market, bringing simplicity to planning and booking. With CWT's global reach and our unique door-to-door solution, global organisations are guaranteed the support and quality of service they need anywhere in the world. The two leading business travel specialists have just unveiled the new functionalities of the CWT Online door-to-door solution, powered by KDS, which will gradually be added to the business travel solution. The programme includes integration of the CWT To Go mobile application, a new level of integration of CWT Portal including profiles and booking details, and a new virtual payment solution for hotels and low-cost airlines. Hotel content has also been enriched, with a focus on making the same content accessible across online, mobile and off-line channels. "We are now concentrating on new cost-saving levers, because we know that this is a crucial point for our customers, while working to merge technology and customer service," notes Nick Vournakis, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing at CWT. "In this way, we are making progress towards realising our vision of being by our customers' side at every stage of their journey.
