"Complementarity", "natural convergence", "privileged partnership": the foundations of the new relationship between the Compagnie des Acheteurs de France (CDAF) and the Global Business Travel Association France (GBTA France) are both solid and legitimate. However, as the GBTA points out, the details of the new relationship will have to be worked out at a later date. However, we already know what the basic elements will be: joint membership, sharing of calendars and joint events, exchange of best practice and a pool of speakers, mutual assistance in promoting the respective associations, and exchange of directors on the governing bodies.
On the eve of its second anniversary, GBTA France has acquired a major strategic partner. "The Advisory Committee of GBTA France is unanimously delighted with this partnership, initiated by Ludovic Provost, which marks a new stage in the development of GBTA in France," says Carole Poillerat, President of GBTA France. "We see this partnership as a real opportunity for our members to highlight the importance of the 'business travel and meetings' category to purchasing managers, and to gain a better understanding of what they expect. This now official dialogue will contribute to the success of GBTA France's mission to increase the maturity of 'Business Travel and Meetings' Purchasing.
Marc Sauvage, President of the CDAF, shares this ambition: "This agreement is part of the CDAF's strategy to provide its members with ever more content and services. This category of purchases is often important in economic terms, and sometimes complex. This partnership will enable us to provide a business dimension that will be invaluable in understanding this market. Finally, GTBA's international dimension is fundamental, given that the Purchasing Departments of CDAF members are now often multi-country".
