As is the case every year, Women's Day on 8 March is the occasion for a number of comparative studies across all sectors. Today, HRS has published a survey analysing the relationship between business travel professionals and their gender. The business hotel specialist points out that fewer women (28%) than men (42%) refuse a business trip for reasons of family organisation. A question of anticipation, according to the HRS study. According to this online survey of 169 people conducted between 16 and 26 March 2015, communication with home is still of prime importance. In fact, "80% of the professionals questioned are in daily contact with their spouse/family during their stay". On the other hand, some people clearly take advantage of their business trips to take a step back: "6% of professionals on business trips admit that they do not contact their nearest and dearest and take advantage of their trip to ... take a breather!" says the HRS study. Last but not least, the survey reveals a widespread tendency towards procrastination: while 36% of business travellers say they are taking ongoing files with them, barely 2% of them use their travel time to look at them...
