The Air France Apple Watch application is available from 24 April. Business travellers can check in up to 30 hours before their flight and be notified 8 hours before departure to check in. The application also centralises all the practical information relating to the airport: terminal, gate or seat number, and enables passengers to be informed in good time if their flight is delayed. Finally, passengers can board by simply scanning the access card stored in the watch. Other functions are already in the pipeline: Air France is planning to use the watch's "vibrate" function to warn passengers of changes to their flight time or boarding gate.
