A five-star hotel alongside a youth hostel in the same building complex: at first sight, the association may seem surprising. But it bears witness to a very contemporary community of spirit between the luxury brand 1 Hotels, with its very green and natural inspiration, and Slo Livingconcept ofsophisticated youth hostel born in Lyon.

In a few years' time, this innovative complex will be built in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, opposite the former Halle Freyssinet, which has been converted to house thousands of start-ups. Station F, the incubator launched by Xavier NielThe project, named Aurore, is the brainchild of the Paris-based architect and investor La Compagnie de Phalsbourg. The architects Kengo Kuma & Associates designed the architecture of the site, which combines wood, bronze and plants.

The building will therefore be the first location outside the United States for 1 Hotelsa brand launched by Barry Sternlicht, the former head of Starwood Hotels who created the W chain, with one establishment in 140 rooms with a terrace restaurant. At the same time, the site will house a Slo Living with 179 beds, as well as a coworking space and a cabaret developed by the Bellevilloise team.
