Lenovo's latest convertible computer has focused on security. The Yoga 920, and several other new models from the brand, feature an identification system by fingerprint to unlock the computer. Known as the Fast Identity Online "or Fido - by the Chinese brand, this protection measure uses the technology Intel Online Connect. In particular, it can be used to identify yourself on sites such as PayPal, Google, Dropbox and Facebook. In addition to the speed with which these actions can be carried out, this new layer of security also means that passwords can be dispensed with.
The Yoga 920, compact and powerful
The technical side of the Yoga 920 has not been neglected. This laptop is equipped with an SSD of up to 1TB, an 8th-generation Intel i7 processor and between 8 and 16GB of RAM. So the computer is solidly equipped in terms of power. The convertible's battery life is rated at around 9 hours. As for the screen, Lenovo has kept things simple: 13.9 inches with 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are four speakers, manufactured by JBL. The Yoga 920 also boasts state-of-the-art connectivity: two USB-C Thunderblot 3 sockets and the essential USB 3.0 sockets.
In terms of ergonomics, the Yoga 920 folds 360° like all convertibles. Its weight of 1.37 kg and compact size (32x22x1.3 cm) make it an excellent travel companion. As for style, Lenovo has made the machine available in three colours: the classic aluminium grey, golden pink, and a slightly more original light brown. Naturally, it runs on Windows 10. The price for the most powerful version is €1,599.
