Air France reassures its passengers

Air France is deploying measures offering greater flexibility to assist and reassure passengers wishing to travel despite the pandemic.

Air France has just announced new commercial measures to enable its customers to book their travel with complete peace of mind. The airline is hoping to attract passengers with the resumption of flights. to almost 170 destinations, including more than 70 cities in Europe.

If the customer wishes to cancel their trip, your ticket can now be changed free of charge and without needing to provide proof, on the date and to the destination* of your choice. If they prefer, they can benefit from a refundable credit note. These measures, which offer travellers total flexibility, apply to all journeys. until 31 March 2021.

If the flight is cancelled, the customer has the option of rescheduling their trip to the date and destination* of their choice. They can also request a full refund of their ticket or a credit note, also refundable if not used.

Finally, Flying Blue members benefit from a doubling of their Miles and experience points (XP). This measure will apply until the end of the year.

More comprehensive insurance to cover health risks

In partnership with Allianz Travel, Air France extends its travel insurance cover to further protect its customers. From now on, the company is offering them a cover** in the event of illness or quarantine linked to a covid-19 epidemic or pandemic.

This guarantee allows customers to deal with the unexpected by covering specific events, particularly during their stay. It includes medical assistance and reimbursement of medical expenses abroad. It also covers additional costs in the event of quarantine, such as accommodation..

Offered at the time of ticket purchase on the airfrance.com website and at the airline's customer relations centres, this insurance complements the existing Cancellation + Missed Flight, Comprehensive and Assistance products.

Air France has not forgotten its passengers awaiting refunds. While many of them are complaining about the slowness of refunds, Air France is doing its best to process these requests. The airline explains that it has assigned 700 agents to the processing of credit notes and refunds. Since January 2020, the airline claims to have processed two million claims and repaid 1.1 billion euros.
