April saw a slight increase in passenger traffic (+2.8%) on the Air France-KLM network, as did the load factor, also up (+2 points). The number of passengers carried reached 6.51 million, while cargo activity declined (-8.3%). Asia in particular contributed to the increase in traffic (+7.5%), although the press release points out that "the comparison is favoured by the earthquake in Japan last year". The Europe (+4.9%) and Americas (+2.3%) networks were also up, while Africa and the Middle East remained stable (+0.6%).
