Accor: some thirty new hotels in France in the 1st half of the year

Handwritten Collection, Tribe, greet, ibis Styles, Mama Shelter: all these brands helped strengthen Accor's presence in France in the first half of the year.

One of the heavyweights of the global hotel industry, Accor is focused on its development on one continent or another, but it has not forgotten that it is also the leading hotel operator in France. The Group continues to strengthen its position on this original playing field, with a number of acquisitions, the opening of 29 hotels to 1er half of 2024. And this, while 85 projects are also in the pipeline for the coming months and years, the vast majority - 78 hotels - for the brands in its Premium, Midscale & Economy division, and seven others in the luxury & lifestyle segment.

There have also been other developments in the Paris region, such as two Mercures, one near the Butte Montmartre and the other in Nanterre, near La Défense. Also close to the major business district, Accor saw the opening in March of the ibis Styles Bezons Paris La Défense, this budget and design brand having also set up near Villejuif. In addition to other recent developments in the provinces, including near Bordeaux station, in Dijon, Guéret and Pontivy, and as far afield as Cayenne in French Guiana.

While Mercure has seen the opening of new leisure hotels in Saint-Raphaël and Quiberon, for example, the Mercure Aix-en-Provence La Duranne Gare TGV offers business travellers a practical and relaxing stopover - with a summer swimming pool and a garden - which is ideal for business travellers. between the historic centre and the TGV station. Lastly, and in line with one of the Accor group's major areas of development, lifestyle, Mama Shelter added a new address in France. After Dijon and Rennes Recently, the brand founded by Serge and Jerémy Trigano moved to the Mediterranean coast in Nice, with a 102-room hotel featuring a rooftop and a swimming pool surrounded by deckchairs.
