Test bench: Air France Terminal 2G lounge

This is the smallest of the lounges reserved for Air France-KLM Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus passengers at Roissy Charles de Gaulle. Located in Terminal 2G, reserved for regional flights, this lounge offers everything you would expect from the French airline's ground services at its hub. Testbed on 28 April 2025 as part of Air France flight AF1476 to Bilbao, departing at 08:45.

At the airport

Terminal 2G at Roissy CDG is at the end of the airport right-of-way, almost "in the countryside". This is a small terminal for regional flights. All Embraer190 flights are operated in this terminal.

Due to the large number of flights departing in the morning (more than fifteen flights over two hours), security checks in the Skypriority queue take time, around 20 minutes, as only two queues are reserved for Premium passengers. The lounge is located at the end of the terminal. but is right next to the start area.

The exhibition

With a surface area of 730 m², the show offers space for just over a hundred people.. Opened in 2017, it was the first to inaugurate the long series of Air France lounge renovations. It remains the airline's smallest, a long way behind Terminal 2E lounges halls K and L, with their 2800m² and 3200m² respectively, or terminal 2F with its 3000m².

Nonetheless, it offers all the services of the Air France lounges at Roissy airportThe only exceptions are the Clarins treatment and wellness area and a separate relaxation area. In one corner of the lounge, a very small area is reserved for La Première passengers.

Before entering the lounge, you can register with a hostess or on a digital terminal. The lounge has a pleasant, bright atmosphere, with contemporary furniture in predominantly white and blue, featuring sofas and armchairs. The most important area is the one centred around the restaurant.. A rotunda provides a bistro atmosphere, while tables and benches surround the buffet area.

Gastronomy

At this time, Air France offers a wide choice of continental and American breakfasts. There are a wide range of viennoiseries, several types of bread, cereals, yoghurts, as well as platters of charcuterie and PDO or PGI cheeses. Hot dishes include omelettes and sausages, and pan-fried vegetables and potatoes. There's also fruit and fruit salad. As for drinks, tea, coffee and fresh fruit juices are available on a self-service basis. With the Air France guarantee of French 100% products.

Services

The salon is open every day from 5.30 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.. It offers free WiFi access, online newspapers and showers. The salon is cleaned regularly by specialised staff.

Boarding and flight

The flight was finally 15 minutes late but landed on time. Boarding takes place in a narrow and, as a result, crowded lounge. Numbered groups were called, business class passengers being the first to walk to the Embraer 190parked outside the boarding gate.

The business cabin on this flight to Bilbao is very small: just one row of 4 seats in a 2-2 configuration. Breakfast was served during the flight - rather mediocre because it was cold. In retrospect, we'll appreciate the buffet in the Air France lounge all the more. It really is essential for a good start to the day!

Verdict

The Air France lounge in Terminal 2GWhile not quite as luxurious as its counterparts in other terminals in Terminal 2, it is a very pleasant place to relax before your flight. It also boasts an exceptional choice of gastronomic delights.

Highly recommended, even for economy class passengers looking for a slightly exclusive place in the terminal. However, this 'pleasure' will cost them 75€. Flying Blue Silver members benefit from a discount of 25%..
