With six million passengers carried during the month of November, Air France-KLM has posted a monthly result compared with the same period in 2011. The airline saw its passenger traffic increase (+2.2%), while at the same time looking after its load factor (+1.5 points to 81.2%). The Asian market was the most buoyant for the Air France KLM group, with traffic up by 5.4%. Europe (+3.5%), Africa and the Middle East (+2.1%) and, to a lesser extent, the Americas (+1%) also contributed to the overall increase. Only the Caribbean and Indian Ocean region (-6.7%) saw its traffic fall (-3.2%), while the Air France-KLM group is planning to develop its long-haul network: "Air France has announced its wish to strengthen its service to Tokyo with the introduction of a new daily flight to Tokyo-Haneda city airport from summer 2014, when new slots will be allocated to airlines for intercontinental flights" warns the airline.
