Air transport up in Germanybut perhaps not as much as hoped. These are the findings of the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), which has just published its results for the year. 2024 for 22 main German airports.

The Federal Statistical Office also gives precise figures for each destination from German airports. This gives a snapshot of traffic trends by country, including France.
This is the seventh most important destination with 3.16 million passengers from German airports. France ranks fourth in the European Union, behind Spain (14.75 million passengers), Italy (6.96 million) and Greece (4.89 million). It is ahead of Portugal (2.66 million) and Austria (2.27 million).
