If you don't want to be burdened with luggage on the way to the airport, the airport will come to you. In a way, this is Alltheway's new motto. Since mid-2023, the start-up has been offering travellers on Air France a baggage collection solution. at relay points. In this case, the Accor group's Paris hotels - of which there are currently seven, the Pullman La Défense and Bercy as well as the Mercure Centre Tour Eiffel and Gare Montparnasse and the Novotel Centre Tour Eiffel, Les Halles and Paris Est -, the hotelier being, like the airline, RATP, ADP and Viparis, a partner of Alltheway.

La start-up is taking things a step further by picking up and transporting check in your luggage at homebetween 30 hours and 6 hours before take-off. Following a process validated by the DGAC and the airlines, accredited agents equipped with a backpack containing a certified portable scale and a bagtag printer check in the baggage. All of this is tracked in real time on the Alltheway website right through to delivery at the destination airport.

In this way, a business traveller can leave the office with peace of mind in the morning without having to return home to collect his suitcases before a long-haul flight or having to drag them behind him on public transport. Other advantages include not having to leave for the airport too early and avoiding the queue at the boarding counter.

The service, which costs €65 for the first two items of baggage and €15 for each additional item, is currently reserved for passengers living in Paris, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne. As well as Air France passengers departing from Paris CDGwhich account for 60 % of passengers at the Paris hub. But this offer should also soon be available for flights departing from Paris Orly and, at the same time, extended to airlines in the SkyTeam alliance, such as KLM and Delta, which is also an Alltheway partner.

While other partnerships are in the pipeline, Alltheway has also teamed up with the SNCF to check in luggage at stations, with the first baggage drop-off counter due to open in May at the Gare du Nord in Paris. This will be a great opportunity to test the service before the Olympic Games.
