Cairo airport gets an automatic shuttle bus

Business travel to, from or even via Cairo airport should be much smoother: the Egyptian hub has recently introduced a shuttle bus system linking the three terminals.

Cairo airport is improving the quality of service it offers passengers, with the introduction of a new shuttle train capable of carrying almost 8.5 million passengers a year between its three terminals. The new train runs on air cushions on a 1.8 km line. Capable of carrying 170 people per journey, the "Automatic People Mover" (APM) will run at a frequency of one train every ten minutes.
