The "45th parallel" project is taking shape at Bordeaux airport. The airport's management has given its verdict on the call for tenders for the development of various infrastructures aimed in particular at business customers.

The project is still at the writing stage, but the first concrete steps are already scheduled for 2014. The consortium comprising Thalium Promotion, Eiffage Immobilier Atlantique, Colliers Tourny Meyer and Archi Concept Europe won the contract on 16 April, following a competitive tender launched by Bordeaux Mérignac Airport. The Bordeaux hub will soon be equipping the 7-hectare area with a business centre, a 150-room 4-star hotel and five office buildings. All of which will incorporate sustainable development imperatives, with the project meeting the latest energy performance standards.
