In spring 2022, the Lufthansa ventured outside its core aerial target by attacking the meetings & events and business travel booking. For its first foray, Lufthansa Global Spaces was backed by a partnership with the Lufthansa Group. Hubli. The second was based on Navan through the launch of BusinessToGo. This platform, which at the outset may have seemed like a 'small-scale' experiment - the tool was available in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland - is now gaining in consistency. On Monday, Lufthansa and Navan made official the roll-out of the BusinessToGo solution in Germany. France as well as United Kingdom.
" Having gained extensive experience with BusinessToGo on our national markets (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland) since 2022, we are now launching this innovative digital platform in France, a very important market for business travel and more particularly in the segment of the small and medium-sized enterprises "Thadée Nawrocki, General Manager Sales France, Luxembourg Lufthansa Group, is delighted.
BusinessToGo is a centralised booking platform for hotels, car hire, rail and, of course, air travel. In addition to the Group's in-house airlines, the tool references content sourced by Navan. So there is no limit to the number of players on offer, whether airlines, hoteliers or car hire companies... The Air France offer is therefore available on Business To Go, as is the SNCF offer, with the exception of OuiGo.
Available in web and mobile formats, the platform is aimed particularly at SMEs, enabling them to apply a travel policy while integrating the habits of each traveller. BusinessToGo is also connected to the group's loyalty programme, PartnerPlusBenefit.
BusinessToGo is based on two price packages. The Essentials package is aimed at companies with up to 100 business travellers. It includes no booking fees, and promises "enhanced policy and profile management, CO2 reporting, 24/7 support, centralised billing, dedicated support during implementation, and access to lower hotel rates". The Premium version integrates Navan's travel platform with internal systems (HR or ERP). Navan and Lufthansa promise Premium customers additional assistance in configuring the tool and supporting travel agents. Unlimited use ofGenerative AI de Navan is also included. The booking fee for this Premium version is €5.
" We are delighted to see our successful collaboration with Lufthansa Group extended to France and also to the UK. "says Michael Riegel, Navan's CEO for EMEA. " BusinessToGo is an example of how a world-class technology company can partner with a renowned service provider to deliver value and innovation to customers. We are delighted that the Lufthansa Group airlines are continuing their partnership and showing pioneering spirit to take BusinessToGo to an even higher level. ".
