The refurbishment of the Campanile network continues. The new impetus given by Louvre Hotels to its historic brand has resulted in a extensive renovation programme throughout France, as part of the five-year strategic plan of the second-largest hotel group in France and Europe. The aim is to modernise " 80 % on our network by 2028 "Krystel Blondeau, General Manager France, describes the brand, which was founded in 1976 and has a total of 410 hotels, mainly in France, but also elsewhere in Europe and in China.
In order to restore the appeal of one of the country's leading business names, this revival will involve new standards positioning the brand at the top end of the midscale segment. Through a new design and the deployment of top-of-the-range bedding and relaxing showers in the rooms, as well as a redesigned breakfast offer based around a signature artisanal brioche, made from ingredients of French origin. A strategy that seems to be bearing fruit, with Louvre Hotels reporting an increase in e-reputation scores of 10% on average for Campanile hotels that have already been renovated.
At the same time, in order to better recognise the different types of establishment, between urban establishments and those based on the original motel-type model, this transformation involves the introduction of two labels, Campanile PRIME and Campanile NATURE. In Ile-de-France, around twenty establishments will have completed their renovation by the end of the year, including Campanile Prime in the capital and Campanile Nature in Meaux and Cergy Pontoise.
More generally, between now and 2026, more than 60 subsidiary hotels are due to be renovated in France, while 29 franchised hotels plan to adopt one of the brand's two new labels this year. This development also involves the PACA regionwith five renovations planned. The brand recently unveiled the first three properties to be chosen. The urban offering is Campanile Prime - Aix-en-Provence Pont de l'Arc, located ten minutes from the Cours Mirabeau and the historic centre, and 25 km from Marseille Provence airport.
