How to get there

The flight from Paris to Casablanca takes approximately 2 hours 55 minutes. Two scheduled airlines serve Casablanca directly from Paris: Air France, with four daily flights from Paris CDG, and Royal Air Maroc (RAM), which offers five to six flights a day from either Roissy or Orly. Several low-cost airlines also cover the destination, such as Tuifly - with one daily flight - and Transavia. The Air France-KLM subsidiary offers five weekly flights to Casablanca from Paris Orly, but also offers a Nantes-Casablanca route on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Morocco's economic capital also has excellent links with France's major cities. While RAM serves Casablanca from Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Toulouse and Strasbourg, the low-cost carrier Air Arabia offers flights from Lyon, Montpellier and Toulouse to the Moroccan metropolis.

Mohammed V International Airport (+212 522 53 90 40; www.onda.ma) is located 30km south-east of the city on the road to Marrakech. The vast majority of Royal Air Maroc (RAM) domestic flights stop off at Casablanca, which is also a transit airport for the Moroccan flag carrier's many flights to Africa. In addition, numerous scheduled flights depart from the Moroccan hub to most countries in Western Europe, West Africa, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, the Middle East and North America.
