On 3 January, United inaugurated the new United Club business lounge in Terminal 2 at Chicago O'Hare airport. The VIP area, which covers around 1,200 m², paves the way for a new format that the airline intends to develop in airports around the world. The décor, which has been completely redesigned, is logically based on the themes of air travel and travel in general. The new United Club lounge offers more workspaces for business travellers, as well as additional power sockets, a larger bar and dynamic lighting. In total, United plans to invest more than €38 million ($50 million) in renovating various of its business lounges.
