Members enjoying Medallion status within Delta's frequent flyer programme will soon be in for a pleasant surprise when they are offered an upgrade... to a private jet! The American airline has its own business aviation subsidiary, Delta Private Jets, enabling it to offer this innovative service to its best customers. Carefully selected, these lucky travellers will be contacted by email and will be able to swap their reserved seat on a scheduled flight for a seat on a jet flying the same route. This upgrade is not entirely free. Passengers will have to pay a supplement that includes transfers and in-flight catering.
