EasyJet is once again creating a buzz with the announcement of 60 new routes this winter. Half of which will link the UK to the rest of Europe and North Africa. Among the countless new routes is the launch of five to French-speaking Europe. Starting with Basel-Mulhouse which from 7 November will have five weekly frequencies to Luton airport, north of London, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Also in Alsace, easyJet announces for the winter season his big return to Strasbourgafter several years' absence. On 11 November the airline will launch three flights a week to London Gatwick (Mondays, Fridays and Sundays). Outside the UK, the low-cost carrier will also serve Barcelona (2 x week from 28 October), Nice (5 x week from 28 October) and Naples (2 x week from 9 December). EasyJet is thus positioning itself as a formidable competitor to Voloteaalready present at Barcelona, London Gatwick and Nice.
Also on the EU-UK route, easyJet will be offering six flights between Paris-CDG and Newcastle from 27 October, as well as one flight a week from 4 January between Lyon and Newcastle. Finally, from 18 January, the low-cost carrier will connect Geneva to Leeds-Bradford every weekend.
