What are the highlights of the new Paris-Saclay Convention Centre?
Our offer is organised around three pillars: modularity - which is what companies are looking for today; modernity, as we are located in the heart of a district designed by Christian de Portzamparc; and finally, the environment, a commitment that is reflected in our 20 121 certification. We are also going to create our own garden with deckchairs and swings. We want to break away from the traditional codes of convention centres with a quirky, surprising approach, but also with a 'home from home' feel, with the generosity that is typical of the French way of life. Who is this convention centre for?
We're very much part of the Grand Paris project and the development of Paris Saclay, with numerous incubators, campuses and major company headquarters nearby. This makes us an ideal meeting place, both locally and nationally, as we're just a few minutes' walk from the Massy Palaiseau TGV station. The Palais des Congrès is also ideal for an international clientele, since a shuttle bus takes you to Orly in just twenty minutes. At the same time, the town is extremely well connected by the RER B and C lines. As a result, we can offer companies real proximity to Paris without the constraints and high costs of hotels, and with 650 hotel rooms within walking distance.
In detail, how is your offer organised?
In total, the convention centre offers 5,500 m² of floor space, plus a 500-space car park. This means we can accommodate events ranging from 9 to 1,500 people. In detail, our offer breaks down into eight very bright seminar rooms and a large 1,000 m² room, the Espace Oxygène, which also has natural daylight. With no posts and a ceiling height of seven metres, it can accommodate up to 600 people in theatre format and 1,100 for cocktails, as well as 80 stands for exhibitions. Finally, our auditorium, the Symposium, is undoubtedly the lungs of the convention centre, with its 600 seats and 150 m² stage. All this with an all-inclusive offer, including technical equipment, integrated control room and hostesses.
