
Etihad Rail operates five direct connections in each direction. Departures from Dubai are scheduled for 6:14, 7:14, 13:14, 17:14 and 18:14. In the other direction, trains depart from Abu Dhabi at 6:43, 7:43, 12:43, 16:43 and 17:43. The ticket costs 39 dirhams in Comfort class and 109 dirhams in Premium class, which is approximately 9 and 25 euros. Etihad Rail sells its tickets on its website, its app and at ticket machines in the stations.
This is the second line of the network, after Abu Dhabi-Fujaïrah, which opened on June 30. According to the operator, this first service has already transported more than 150,000 passengers. The operation is the result of a joint venture between Etihad Rail and Keolis. On its social media channels, Etihad Rail has hailed this crucial milestone: «We celebrate the official launch of the network, with passenger services now connecting Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Dhaid and Fujaïrah.»

Wi-Fi on board and connection to the metro
According to Mohammed Al Shehhi, director of Etihad Rail projects, the trains travel at speeds of up to 200 km/h and carry up to 400 passengers. Both classes offer outlets for laptops, free Wi-Fi and a catering service. In Dubai, a pedestrian walkway connects the station to the Jumeirah Golf Estates metro station. Furthermore, integration with the Nol system allows for combining train and public transport in Dubai with a single QR code. The station also offers buses, taxis and car rental agencies.
Dubai is also connected to Fujaïrah by a daily round trip of about 70 minutes. The Al Dhaid station in Sharjah is opening in parallel. The Al Dhafra stations will follow in late December, then Sharjah in March 2027. External investment: According to the WAM agency, Etihad Rail is also developing a high-speed line between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The trains will run at up to 350 km/h, for a journey of 30 minutes.
