Last December, Frontier Airlines unveiled its transformation strategy, involving an upgrade of the ultra-low-cost carrier. This plan, dubbed “The New Frontier,” is intended to allow it to attract more business travellers. An offensive that should be boosted by the airline’s latest announcement, choosing Starlink to enhance in-flight connectivity.
The agreement with the American giant SpaceX was made official on 14 July. It will come into effect at the beginning of 2027.

" We continue to invest in the products and services that matter most to our customers. », assures Jimmy Dempsey, CEO of Frontier Airlines. « Starlink is transforming the onboard experience, giving our guests the freedom to work, stream, browse, and stay connected throughout their journey. Alongside the introduction of First Class seats and enhancements to our loyalty programme, this is another example of how we are evolving the travel experience while staying true to our commitment of offering the lowest fares. », adds Jimmy Dempsey.
