Strategic address
Warwick
Undeniably one of the most strategic addresses for a business trip to Geneva. Facing the Cornavin train station, the Warwick Hotel is less than five minutes' walk from the banks of the Rhône. The most recent renovation, completed in 2010, transformed the 7th floor into a penthouse, with suites and terraces overlooking Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. The 167-key establishment is constantly striving to keep up with the standards expected by its business clientele, as demonstrated by the recent transformation of the entire WiFi system, with access free of charge. A little extra: dinners in the dark at the Téséo restaurant.

Intercontinental

Overlooking the institutional quarter, this imposing five-star hotel attracts a large number of diplomats, with negotiations taking place in the luxurious smoking room or in one of the hotel's 16 meeting rooms... The renovation, completed in 2013, has radically transformed its 333 rooms. Designer Tony Chi has created a contemporary, soothing, almost feng shui atmosphere, while playing the "Swissness" card.

New management
Hôtel de la Paix

A legendary address in the Geneva hotel industry. The Hôtel de la Paix, which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2015, is preparing to write a new page in its rich history. The hotel is preparing to change its name to Ritz Carlton at the end of 2016. Between now and then, the hotel is undertaking a vast renovation plan that will reduce its range of rooms from 84 to 75 suites. The hotel will remain open during the works, in particular its restaurant Vertig'O, one of Geneva's finest restaurants.

Since 1834, the Hotel des Bergues has perpetuated a certain idea of luxury made in Geneva. This is reflected in the Salle des Nations, built to host the first meeting of the League of Nations and regularly used for prestigious meetings. In all, almost 600 m² dedicated to events immerse guests in a masterly setting. Each of the 115 rooms and suites has been decorated by Pierre-Yves Rochon.

RESTAURANTS
Local heritage
Chez Papon

Backing onto the walls of the Town Hall, the former Café de la Treille has long been part of Geneva's heritage. Christophe Bernerd and David Felissaz, two former employees of the Hôtel des Bergues, took up the torch in 2005 and gave a new lease of life to this popular address for locals. They offer a refined, fresh menu, based on local produce and reworked every two or three weeks. A private dining room.

Local products
Charlotte's Bistro

This restaurant on the right bank of the Rhône has a cosy, contemporary atmosphere. The menu changes with the seasons, with the emphasis on local Geneva produce. A fine selection of wines and products at affordable prices have ensured the bistro a loyal clientele of local residents. Special mention should be made of the chanterelle risotto with bacon cream and the many fish dishes available.

An air of Italy
La Romantica

It's a strange name for a lunchtime haunt of bankers rather than first-time couples. Ideally located, this Italian restaurant offers excellent value for money in a cosy setting, coupled with efficient service. Reservations are recommended to enjoy one of the many pizzas on the menu or the pappardelle with saffron, smoked salmon and limoncello.

Le Café du Soleil

Geneva's Café du Soleil needs no introduction: it's a veritable institution in the international arena. Its reputation is based on its fondue, considered to be one of the best in the city, if not in Switzerland. But the seasonal menu offers tasty alternatives such as chanterelle ravioli with chestnut and parmesan cream. An authentic setting and a smile to boot.
