Luxembourg airport already boasted three hotels: a three-star Ibis coupled with an Ibis Budget and a four-star hotel NH. The first two are a 10-minute walk from the terminal, the third an average of 7/8 minutes.

However, on 3 September, a new establishment, the Moxy Luxembourg Airport. Owned by the Marriott group, the hotel has a three-star plus rating. And, unlike its two other competitors, its main advantage is that it is located in the heart of the new Airport City, currently under development near the terminal. The hotel is therefore directly accessible from the airport.

The hotel has 129 rooms and suites many with views of the slopes. There are also a Moxy B&F restauranta terrace facing the terminal building and a meeting room for up to 50 people.

The hotel is part of the first Airport City project, the Skypark business center. This It will eventually include 51,000 m² of offices, a fitness centre, shops, 4,100 parking spaces and the Moxy.

And there's more good news: the arrival of the tramway on the airport site. This section is almost a year behind schedule. But it should finally open in early 2025. Up to 10 trams per hour linking the airport to the European district of Kirchberg and the city centre.
